Fair Tower Frankfurt – Assembly of the first glass panes
When the 256.5 m high fair tower in Frankfurt was completed in 1991 it was the tallest building in Europe. The tower planned by Helmut Jahn is currently being rebuilt and brought up to the state of the art. The lobby will be opened and fitted with 18 m high and 3 m wide glass elements. Glass panes of this size were installed in a high-rise building for the first time. The first assembly of the facade elements planned by Werner Sobek was documented in a contribution of the Hessenschau.
