The load-bearing structure of this office building in Offenburg/Germany consists of reinforced concrete. The floors and the curved roof shell are designed as beamless slabs supported by round columns. Horizontal stiffening is provided by vertical wall plates in the access zone. Since load-bearing subsoil is only found at a depth of 14 m, the entire structure is built on a pile foundation.
