Climate-adapted building

The built environment faces ever increasing demands in times of climate change. Within the research project KLIBAU (climate-adapted building) Werner Sobek developed adaptation measures to generate positive climate and environmental potentials. The primary aim is to prepare the built environment for the consequences of climate change. Buildings must already now be dimensioned to meet the higher demands of the future, the expected climate impacts such as summer heat and extreme events such as floods or storms.
