Josef Eberle Bridge

The Josef-Eberle-Bridge is an important link in the medieval town centre of Rottenburg am Neckar. The bridge’s construction swings elegantly over the river as a three-span element made of reinforced concrete. The bridge body consists of prestressed concrete slabs up to 60 cm thick.

The cross-section tapers towards the edges of the bridge and the abutments. The very low construction height for the superstructure of the bridge was achieved by using state-of-the-art construction technologies and prestressed concrete with high-strength concretes.
