Since its foundation in 2007, Werner Sobek has been an active member and supporter of the German Sustainable Building Council DGNB. Since its foundation, Prof. Sobek has a member of the board of the association. From April 2008 until June 2010 he acted as the DGNB's president; having handed over the office to Prof. Dr. Manfred Hegger he is now vice-president. Dr. Heide Schuster as well as other staff of WSGreenTechnologies head DGNB working groups that develop new versions of the German sustainability certification system (e.g. urban design, shopping centers etc.). Sustainability certification according to DGNB standard is of course also one of the many services rendered by WSGreenTechnologies.
