The Cruise Center is a temporary building in the Harbour City of Hamburg. Until 2010 it will be used for registration and baggage check-in of cruise passengers. The hall is 23 m long, 67 m wide, and approximately 9 m high. In order to ensure a rapid and economic construction process, the walls of the Cruise Center are made of standard steel containers that have been placed on top of each other in three rows. The roof structure is made of wooden trusses, with projecting ends on both sides. This structure is cased with translucent panels that are illuminated from within at night.
