The structure of the new motor show stands for AUDI AG, used for the first time at the IAA 1999 in Frankfurt, Germany, consists of a multiple-curve glass loop which is animated by the projection of coloured light and changing film sequences. The wall is 6 m high and varies in length from 100 to 300 metres, depending on the size of the stand. The 4 mm thick glass panes of satinised standard safety glass are held in a narrow-mesh cable net which is mounted under tension in a grid structure consisting of curved stainless steel tubes which cross over each other.
